General Terms and Conditions for Hotel barge Louisa
How to book
Booking a cruise is simple; payment can be made by bank transfer;
The booking agreement is between the lead guest and the owners and operators of Louisa (David and Jenny Tremain). All bookings are for a whole boat charter maximum 4 guests.
We accept payment in British Pounds Stirling, on receipt of your deposit we will confirm your booking, and this will be taken as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
30% deposit is required at the time of booking this is non-refundable.
The balance is due 90 days before the start date of your cruise, Non-payment of the balance will be taken as cancellation of your cruise.
You may cancel your cruise up until 90 days before your start date. After the due date of the balance the whole cost of the cruise will be payable. We recommend that clients include cancellation in their insurance.
Your cruise includes
Your cruise starts midmorning on the first day and ends midmorning on the last day, (please review the cruise route). Transfers are arranged from Toulouse or Carcassonne.
Accommodation is in either our double or twin en-suite cabins
All meals are inc. and taken on-board
Wine will be served with lunch and dinner
An open bar is available at all times
Entertainment equipment is available in the saloon
Bicycles and safety helmets
Your cruise does not include
Travel arrangements and airfares to and within France. Travel, personal and health Insurance. Telephone. Additions excursions. Personal expenses whilst visiting local villages and towns.
Changes and cancellations
Changes to the route may occur due to the conditions of the canal; Water levels, flooding, lock closures or repairs, these conditions are beyond our control and will result in changes to the route or excursions, but cannot as a reason for cancellation by the guest.
The owners reserve the right at all times to cancel any booking or part thereof and to refund the amount paid without further liability.
Health and Safety
Louisa has a safe barge environment. Guests should be of reasonable fitness and agility suitable for a barging holiday. Louisa is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs. Smoking is not allowed inside the barge or vehicles. The owners assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, deaths, illness, injury, loss or damage of property. We strongly recommend that adequate insurance is taken by each guest suitable for their needs. Please feel free to chat to us if you are unsure of how this may affect you.
